Fay Saechao

Fay received her Juris Doctor from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 2016. While at McGeorge, Fay was an Executive Board Member of the Public Legal Services Society, Co-Author to the California Initiative Review, Student Associate of the Anthony M. Kennedy American Inn of Court, hearing officer to the Administrative Adjudication Clinic, and a representative to the Federal Bar Association. In 2011, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from University of California, Davis, spending part of her last year studying and working in Washington D.C. through the UC Davis Washington Program.

Fay practices civil litigation in various legal matters, including construction, breach of contract, and tort matters. Fay is also interested in employment law and business transactions.

Before becoming an associate attorney at Radoslovich | Shapiro, PC Attorneys, Fay served as a law clerk to the firm for about one year. Prior to Fay’s law clerk position at Radoslovich | Shapiro, PC Attorneys, Fay served as a law clerk to the California Department of Human Resources, summer associate to Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP, and legal assistant to the Law Offices of Jerry L. Chong and Alice W. Wong.

Representative Matters

Assisted in successfully obtaining a jury verdict over $3.5 million dollars for plaintiffs in an employment retaliation action involving sex and race discrimination against a major entity.

Assisted in successfully defending a franchisor and obtaining a favorable judgment from the California Labor Commissioner’s Office dismissing the franchisor from liability in a claim by franchisee’s employee for unpaid wages.

Assisted in defending a large gas company against claims by plaintiffs for personal injuries in an auto-accident.

Assisted a death row inmate in a successive habeas corpus appeal.

Assisted in defending a defamation case and obtained a favorable judgment in bringing an Anti-SLAPP motion to protect clients’ First Amendment rights.

Community Involvement

Fay is currently a member of the Sacramento County Bar Association, Women Lawyers of Sacramento, and the Asian/Pacific Bar Association of Sacramento. Fay enjoys traveling, hiking, and giving back to the community, as demonstrated by her involvement with a variety of organizations, including Iu-Mien Community Services, Sacramento CAPITAL Foundation, Asian Pacific Community Counseling, Habitat for Humanity, Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services, NeighborWorks Sacramento Paint the Town, My Sister’s House, and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. She also spends time mentoring and tutoring middle school and high school students.
